Important points of assembly session on first day

MLAs Alapati Rajendra Prasad, Anagani Satyaprasad and Bode Prasad questioned on Pattiseema project:

Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao replied that by supplementing water by Pattiseema lift irrigation scheme the crops in Krishna delta were saved. He said the Pattiseeme lift scheme started releasing water from June 19, 2017 and 94 tmc of water released in the present season.

He said 57,47,154 number of people in Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam and West Godavari were benefited by the scheme.

When MLA Uppuleti Kalpana questioned on the details of Ambedkar Smritivaranam, Minister for Social welfare N Ananda Babu said necessary land was allotted at Sakamuru for erecting a 125 ft statue of Dr Ambedkar.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that Ambedkar memorial would be developed. He said a library with ten thousand books, meditation hall, 2000 capacity open air theatre would be set up. He said tenders will be called for on EPC basis and the project would be completed in 18 months.

Replying to a question of MLA Vanamadi Venkateswara Rao on the progress of Amrut scheme, Minister for Municipal Administration P Narayana said 32 towns were included in the scheme. He said the state govt is making efforts to complete the project by May 2019.

The MLA asked the govt to  select the beneficiaries basing on ration cards as some people are facing problem in documentation. Another MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary appealed the govt to implement the scheme in cities facing funds shortage.

Replying to a question raised by MLA Anil Kumari P on NTR urban housing, minister for Municipal Administration P Narayana said under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and NTR urban housihhg project 1,20,106 houses were sanctioned for 2015-16 and 2,43,162 houses were sanctioned for 2017-18 . of the total 3,63,268 houses 2,96,319 houses were tendered and 1,04,554 houses were grounded.

He said under beneficiary led construction component 73,041 and 1,02,977 houses were sanctioned for 2015-16 and 2017-18 respectively and 31,401 houses are under progress.

The minister said the Government of India provides Rs 1.5 lakh and state govt bears Rs one lakh under Beneficiary led construction.

Chandranna Bheema: Replying to a question raised by MLA Sri Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy on details of Chandranna Bheema, Minister for labour and employment said the state govt paid Rs 212,25 cr to 70,749 beneficiaries  towards natural death claims, 294.30 cr to 6,035 cr under accident death and Rs 154 cr to 12.85 beneficiaries under scholarships. He said the scheme covered 2.13 cr unorganised workers in first year and covering 2.46 cr people in the second year.

Minister for Roads and Buildings Ch Ayyannapatrudu said that land acquisition is going on for Amaravati-Anantapur 557.32 km express highway costing Rs 24000 cr. The road consists of 349 km 6 lane and 26 km tunnel. He said Kovvur-Gundugolanu road would be developed as 4 lane road at a cost of Rs 1500 cr.

Minister for Panchayat Raj Nara Lokesh said of the total 12,918 gram panchayats 1307 gram panchayats have no own buildings. He said all the gram panchayats would be provided own buildings by 2019.
