Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said students should follow the ideals of Abdul Kalam Azad for better future.
Particicpating as chief guest of Pratiba awards presentation programme organized in Vijayawada today, the Chief Minister said that the state govt would extend support towards higher education of pratibha award winners. He announced allotment of additional Rs 30 cr for this purpose.
The Chief Minister stressed the need to protect our culture and traditions. Of the total 3,992 students who received pratiba awards 2,531 were girls and 1461 boys. He said virtual class rooms will be developed to improve educational standards in govt schools.
Presiding over the programme Minister for Human Resources Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that the state govt allotted Rs 23,900 cr budget towards education this year.
Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao and others were present.
